Golf At Ocean Ridge Plantation
Your fellow golfing residents welcome you to Ocean Ridge Plantation. From beginner to accomplished player, man or woman, we are sure you will find golf activities to suit your tastes. Here you will find opportunities for organized casual and competitive play as well as the opportunity to set up games with neighbors and newfound friends. The following golf activities are available for your enjoyment:

· Ocean Ridge Ladies Golf Association (ORLGA)
· Mixed Pairs Golf League
· Men’s casual golf (Centurions)
· Ladies casual golf
· Ladies nine hole golf
Ocean Ridge Golf, Inc. has agreed to provide blocks of tee times for ORMGA and ORLGA on Tuesday mornings and Thursday afternoons and the Mixed Pairs League on Sunday afternoons. Tee times for casual and nine hole play are arranged by the individual groups following the Ocean Ridge tee time procedures as outlined below.
Ocean Ridge Golf Staff: Tom Plankers, Ocean Ridge Director of Golf and his staff are ready to assist you with your golfing needs. The staff handles tee time arrangement for our three golf courses, manages our computerized handicapping service and maintains our well stocked pro shops in the Tiger’s Eye and Lion’s Paw/Panther’s Run clubhouses where you will find an extensive selection of merchandise for your golfing needs. Please stop in and introduce yourselves to the staff at your earliest convenience.

The handicap computer is located in the Lion’s
Paw/Panther’s Run pro shop. Ocean Ridge
Golf uses the Carolina’s Golf Association (CGA) system and does provide a valid
USGA handicap index. The cost of this
service for 2004 is $15.00 per person.
The pro shop staff will be happy to enroll you in the service and
demonstrate the use of the system. Please be aware that Ocean Ridge golfers
adhere to equitable stroke control procedures when posting scores.
Ocean Ridge Golf Academy: Jimmy Blanks and Jim Adomat offer a full range of lesson programs, club fitting, custom club making and repair. Both have extensive playing and teaching experience and can tailor a lesson program to meet your needs. Jim and Jim offer an introductory lesson program to Ocean Ridge members, which consists of a three-hour block of lessons. They can be reached at 287-1910 or stop by the office at the entrance to the Ocean Ridge golf maintenance facility, behind the driving range ball dispenser building on Dartmoor Way.

Prime season occurs in late Winter, through Spring and in the Fall. As dates vary from year to year, contact the pro shop for specifics.
Members are
responsible for their tee times.
Failure to properly cancel a tee time, 72 hours in advance, or find a
substitute player may result in the pro shop charging you for the missed round
of golf.
